Under The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you have a right to cancel your order (exceptions apply*) within the period of 14 working days, beginning with the day after your order was received. You must make notice of cancellation, clearly stating your request to cancel by one of the following options:

In the event of goods already being delivered to you, you have a legal duty to retain possession of them and to take reasonable care of them. You are under obligation to restore these goods to the supplier (UK Care Direct) and, under this contract, you will be responsible to deliver your order back to UK Care Direct at your own expense, with the exception of faulty or substituted goods, where returns costs will be reimbursed to you.

It is your responsibility to make sure goods are delivered back to us and not damaged in transit; in the event of any damage or loss, the claim to recover our costs will be raised. All the goods must be returned unused with the original packaging intact.

All the charges on the cancelled contract (including costs of goods, delivery charges and any taxes paid) will be reimbursed to you as soon as possible or latest within the period of 30 days after the notice of cancellation. The charge to cover the costs of recovering goods might be deducted if you fail to return or do so at our expense.

In the case of UK Care Direct not being able to supply the product ordered by you we may offer you a substitute, equal in quality and value. UK Care Direct will meet the cost of returns of such a product if you do not want to keep it.

If you have received a faulty item you must follow the same procedure above and also state the item being faulty and what the fault is. The item will be inspected by our quality team once we receive it back, and if the item is deemed genuinely faulty, either a replacement or full refund will be offered to you.

In the interest of hygiene, several of our products are not sold on home approval and cannot be returned once taken out of the original packaging, unless faulty. These products are as follows:
  • Duvets
  • Pillows
  • Mattress protectors and mattress toppers
  • Sheets, duvet covers, valances and pillow cases
  • Personal hygiene products
